About the event

The Old Chestnut, Body Image…….and its Aging Sister

Join the conversation in our ZOOM Sanctuary to shine a light on Body Image in the context of your body and how you view yourself at this time of your life.

Body image delusions are not the exclusive domain of the young, for so many it’s a whole-of-life thing. The mindset of a poor body image

inhibits the thriving of many wonderful women, younger and older.

What, why, and who is the power behind this? You’ve experienced life and built some smarts, you can apply SMART goals techniques

to fall in love with the body that houses and moves you around in the world.

This Masterclass will explore these ideas, and help you examine where you sit with this right now. Ask, are you OK with you

right now? If so, great, share, please! If not, there’ll be some simple tips for loving yourself into

making peace with your body image till the end of the day.

MEET OUR FACILITATOR

Tass Schmidt GAICD

Pro Aging Influencer

Inspired by Barbie………..Business Tass has amassed a wealth of commercial expertise through entrepreneurial projects and managerial roles in Australia and China, across a diverse range of industries including Banking, Media, Food Production and Distribution, Major Tourism and Cultural Events, China/Australia Trade, Disability Support, Farm and Hospitality Management, Rural Economic Development, Coaching, and e-commerce.

She has driven numerous start-ups, including leading projects in culturally diverse situations and in heavily male-dominated environments. From being Australia’s first female to lead a sheep shearing contracting business to the ASX environment she has an enormous depth of experience fuelled by a lively curiosity.

In her younger years, she simply assumed gender equity, then in her early fifties, she realised that all was not equal. She commenced deeply pondering and writing about this, exploring why so many women, self-included were feeling washed up, invisible, no longer attractive, and less relevant. Over time she has developed ideas about what could be done to mitigate these ageist perspectives internally and societally. This has become evident as her life’s purpose.

In 2021, she launched Mojo Meyvn to help women who had lost their mojo, get it back.

Now in her sixties, she has big plans, forever a work in progress, starting yet another business, launching her speaking career, publishing a book, and building on all the elements of the life she wants. And why, to prove what she espouses has merit to support her aim of being a significant global Pro Aging Influencer.

Tess is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Treasurer of an Arts and Disability Access Board, and President of the International Women’s Day Committee South Australia.
