This presentation will provide practical advice about the importance of physical activity for promoting health and well-being and preventing falls in older age. It will provide examples of effective programs, tips on how to promote lasting behaviour change, and resources, programs, and services that can support people's efforts to be more active.
MEET OUR PRESENTERS
Professor Anne Tiedemann
Anne Tiedemann is a Professor of Physical Activity and Health at the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. Her research explores the design and evaluation of low-cost, sustainable strategies for preventing falls and increasing physical activity for people aged 50 years and over.
Anne is passionate about spreading the word about the wonders of physical activity in boosting physical and mental health and well-being. She has published more than 160 peer-reviewed papers on this topic and contributed to national and international physical activity…
