About the event
Yoga, one of the world’s oldest health systems is receiving new attention for claims that it can contribute to healthy ageing.
Multiple studies provide data showing that yoga practice has positive effects on cellular ageing, mobility, balance, mental health, and prevention of cognitive decline—all areas of concern for ageing adults.
Meet Our Facilitator
Mira Rao
Mira is a Resilience and Embodiment Coach, a yoga teacher and an entrepreneur.
She has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching yoga and body-based therapy for 10.
She completed studies in Linguistics and Journalism, holds an MBA, and is currently completing her Masters in Counseling at Notre Dame University.
Her mission is to contribute to building a world in which people are confident in the wisdom of their bodies, consciously and intentionally resilient with the ups and downs of life and empowered to live the lives they actively choose rather than reactively inherit.
