About the event
Did you know that women's ambition increases after the age of 55, before peaking at the age of 65?
While many of us fear ageing as a time in our lives when we will become invisible, it can actually be a vibrant and empowering moment to finally learn to embrace who we are and push ahead with our goals.
In fact, The Harvard Business Review recently found that, contrary to popular belief, many women reach their peak in the second stage of their careers.
Happily accepting the process of ageing in this way can have huge psychological benefits for both our work and personal lives, too.
The concept of positive ageing encourages us to celebrate each moment of life that we get to live and, if the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that getting older truly is a privilege. (Source: Allbright)

SPEAKERS:
MC: Faith Agugu founder of Silver Sirens
Faith is a Sydney-based Psychotherapist who founded Silver Sirens in 2018 after a number of women in 'midlife crisis' were referred to her. She realised that her cultural lens on ageing differed greatly from those of many of her western sisters and she felt called to change the negative narrative some of these women had internalised about ageing.
Faith creates engaging and uplifting conversations that honour each women's individuality.
Deb Johnstone
Deb is a Professional Speaker, Transformational Life, Business and Career Coach, Personal Stylist, MidLife Transition Mentor, NLP Practitioner, EDISC Profiler, and Yoga Teacher. She is the founder of Transformational Pathways Australia and Women Reinventing MidLife. She is also the creator of her signature program HER Rediscovery and signature product Your Success Planner.
Deb is the creator and host of the Women Reinventing MidLife Summit Series and has a global vision to build a connected community for women in middle life and beyond to transition their lives feeling confident, visible, vibrant and free to be their true selves. She does this by providing them with support, tools and resources to access their own wisdom, rediscover who they are and create the purposeful life they want and deserve.
After initiating the summits in 2020 she saw a great need to develop even more resources for women in midlife. This prompted the launch of The Women Reinventing MidLife Club and more recently the YouTube channel Women Reinventing MidLife TV.
Deb is mum to two adult sons and grandmother to 5 gorgeous baby grandchildren. She is a lover of spirituality and nature and lives at the beach in the far northern tropics of Australia, where the rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef.
Gabriela Domicelj
Gabriela left her corporate career as a management consultant (with Accenture and AON), to focus on midlife exploration and making aging aspirational. She is currently leading a group of volunteers to bring the Modern Elder Academy, the world’s first midlife wisdom school, to Australia – as MEAx. It turns out that her experience motivating people to create successful businesses is relevant when it comes to engaging and empowering midlifers to consciously create their best future selves. Gabriela’s stint running a film production company, and working with creatives there, has been invaluable in encouraging those in midlife to find their voice. She also advises organisations on how to re-engage with older workers, questioning the traditional concepts of retirement and full-time in-person employment.
Gabriela has three adult children and has lived in Santiago, Brisbane, Edinburgh, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Wellington and Singapore. She is currently based in Sydney.
