Our midlife transition is a profound psychological and existential turning point where our body intelligently leads us to a process of review, endings and beginnings as we prepare ourselves for our second half of life. As women we also navigate Perimenopause. Perimenopause is not just a hormonal transition, it is a nervous system one.
This talk explores why unresolved trauma often surfaces in midlife, how endocrine changes impact the autonomic nervous system, and why complex trauma can emerge during this life stage. Offering a compassionate, body-based lens, it reframes midlife distress as a meaningful and intelligent biological wisdom rather than pathology.
