Letting go of the expectations placed on us, especially as women, and growing older boldly on our own terms, building lives that fit us and earning our Happy Wrinkles along the way.
I’m Tammy Scott, a 50-year-old mum, educator, disability consultant, engineer-by-training and founder of Together Growing Strong. My life has taken more turns than I ever expected, and these days I’m far more interested in building a life that fits than following the path I’m supposedly meant to be on. I’m neurodivergent, endlessly curious, and happiest when I’m learning something new, connecting with people or having an adventure, whether that’s travelling, scuba diving, trying something I’ve never done before, or buying myself LEGO because somewhere along the way I realised adults are allowed to play too.
Much of my work is about helping neurodivergent people and the people around them understand themselves, challenge assumptions and create lives and environments that work for who they actually are. That philosophy has increasingly shaped my own life as well. At 50, I’m not particularly interested in becoming quieter, smaller or more sensible with age. I want to keep learning, contributing, exploring, changing direction when I need to, and growing the kind of wrinkles that tell the story of a life genuinely lived.
Why I joined Silver Sirens
I loved the energy of the conference and, most importantly, the women I met there. I chose to become a Founder/Lifetime Member because I could see the potential for something much bigger than a single event: a community of women I genuinely want to know, collaborate with and grow alongside. As I develop the next chapter of my own work, I’m also excited by the possibilities for partnerships, shared projects and opportunities that create value for both my business and the Silver Sirens community.

What 'Redefining Ageing' means to me...
Letting go of the expectations placed on us, especially as women, and growing older boldly on our own terms, building lives that fit us and earning our Happy Wrinkles along the way.
Looking to connect with...
The women I described above! Fellow “queenagers” who are curious, adventurous, open to genuine friendship and still want to play, explore, try new things and occasionally do something we're supposedly far too old and sensible to be doing.
