Expect real talk, grounded guidance, and a community that feels both inspiring and deeply human—because joyful living is something we get to practise together.
Keynote Speaker

At our Sydney Joyful Living event, we are honoured to welcome Zenith Virago — Elder, Maverick, Guide, and respected second‑wave pioneer of contemporary, holistic death‑care for more than 30 years.
Zenith’s work invites us to look gently but courageously at the one truth we all share — our own mortality — and discover how doing so opens the door to living with greater joy, freedom, and authenticity. In her talk, Facing Our Own Death and Mortality: Leaning Into Joy More Easily, Zenith will explore how accepting death as a natural part of life allows us to live more fully in the present, love more deeply, and let go of fear.
Forged in the fires of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and grounded in a feminist, legal background, Zenith has become a wise and compassionate resource for individuals, families, and communities. She accompanies people to die well, supports meaningful and healing ceremonies, and fosters healthier bereavements — even in times of sudden or traumatic loss.
As the founder and CEO of the Natural Death Care Centre Charity, Zenith continues to lead cultural change, helping people reclaim their legal rights and rites of passage around death and dying. A TEDx speaker, co‑author of The Intimacy of Death and Dying, and the focus of the acclaimed documentary Zen & the Art of Dying, Zenith’s decades of work remind us that embracing death is, ultimately, an act of embracing life itself.
Join us for this profoundly moving conversation that will help you see mortality not as an end, but as an invitation to live joyfully, truthfully, and with an open heart.
Agenda Highlights
10:00 AM – Welcome & Community Connection
A warm Silver Sirens welcome and a gentle landing into the day. Meet women who are choosing to age well — not by shrinking, but by expanding into the next chapter with purpose and self-respect.
10:15 AM – Workshop #1: Dr Natasha Andreadis (The Fanny Mechanic

Known for her evidence-based yet holistic approach, Dr Tash is passionate about helping women feel informed, empowered, and more at ease in their bodies—an essential foundation for joyful living and pleasure. Her interests extend beyond the clinic into the therapeutic potential of music therapy to reduce procedure-related anxiety, as well as energy medicine; she is a qualified Reiki Therapist and is currently training in Sound Healing. A natural community builder, Dr Tash hosts a monthly book club and her podcast, The Fanny Mechanic, creating spaces where women can learn, laugh, and feel more at home in themselves.
Dr Natasha Andreadis (aka Dr Tash) is a Sydney-based fertility specialist and gynaecologist who brings together scientific excellence and heartfelt care to support women’s hormone health and reproductive wellbeing. A Fellow of RANZCOG with subspecialty certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI), Dr Tash has extensive experience in reproductive endocrinology and IVF, with further training and research experience in the UK and Europe. Rowena Robinson is a woman who has tasted many seasons of life and now chooses to meet this chapter with joy, curiosity and an open heart. A mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, sportswoman and widow of 14½ years, she honours each of these roles while continuing to reinvent what a vibrant later life can look and feel like.
A traditionally trained Herbalist, Rowena brings over 35 years of experience teaching Physical Education, Health and Personal Development to young people in Sydney, blending warmth, humour and a grounded, no‑nonsense approach to wellbeing. Her work and life have taught her that the body is not an obstacle to ageing, but a powerful ally in cultivating pleasure, vitality and play.
What most lights Rowena up now is her spiritual journey, which continues to unfold with every passing year. As a spiritual pastor, she feels called to help others step onto their own path with purpose and faith, trusting that we are each here to live out something uniquely beautiful. For the Sydney Art of Ageing Well event, Rowena invites us to see ageing as an invitation into more joy, deeper connection and a fuller, more pleasurable expression of who we truly are.
11:45 AM – Morning Tea
Freshly brewed coffee, herbal teas and healthy pastries — plus time to mingle, share stories and build connections.
12:15 PM – Keynote Speaker: Facing Loss to Fully Embrace Joyful Living with Zenith Virago

Charity Partner
Older Women’s Network NSW
Since 2022, Silver Sirens™ has also been proudly partnering with the Older Women’s Network NSW (OWN NSW), the peak body established in 2001 to promote the rights, dignity and wellbeing of older women across the state. Together, we are committed to changing the growing trend of women over 50 being at risk of homelessness. Through our events and community, Silver Sirens™ has raised approximately $10,000 for OWN NSW’s “Buy a Brick” program, contributing to safer, more secure futures for older women.
A Message from our Founder
Faith Agugu

At 61, I’ve come to believe that our missions choose us. Silver Sirens™ grew from that knowing and from what I’ve witnessed in decades of sitting with women in the therapy room.
Over and over, I’ve listened to women over 50 speak of feeling invisible, confused or uncomfortable in their changing bodies, navigating menopause, grieving empty nests, and fearing that life has somehow passed them by. Somewhere inside those conversations, a clear calling emerged in me: to create a space where women in their second half of life are not merely “coping,” but flourishing. A place where we are witnessed, celebrated, and invited into deeper joy and embodied pleasure.
The growth of Silver Sirens™ over the past seven years has gone far beyond anything I first imagined. What began as an idea has become a vibrant movement of women willing to meet ageing with courage, curiosity, and tenderness.
My vision for this community is still evolving, but its heartbeat remains the same: to expand our roles as wisdom-holders and to challenge the narrow, limiting narratives the world places on ageing women. History is calling us into a new story. It is time to honour our unique paths, passions, and dreams—and to stand as living, breathing models of conscious ageing for the generations coming behind us.
For me, joyful living and embracing pleasure start with a brave truth: our lives are finite. When we truly let that in—not as something morbid, but as something honest and sacred—we stop postponing our joy. We say yes more easily to what lights us up. We soften our grip on perfection. We become more willing to savour beauty, connection, touch, creativity, and rest. The awareness that our time is limited can be the very thing that frees us to live more fully.
