About the Event
Saturday 13th September, 2025

Redefining Ageing Coffs Harbour 2025
Theme: Embracing Belonging and Community
Welcome to Silver Sirens' second Redefining Ageing event in Coffs Coast!
After hosting eleven successful events across Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, and regional Australia, we've seen firsthand how midlife can present remarkable opportunities for change and connection.
As a mental health professional, Silver Sirens Founder Faith Agugu has encountered countless women who struggle to find meaningful connections, supportive communities, and a sense of belonging. Many believe they're too old or it's too late to create new connections. However, the third phase of life can be the perfect time to break out of your comfort zone, find your tribe and transform your life.
Redefining Ageing: Empowering You to Build Belonging and Community
At Redefining Ageing, we believe in empowering women to embrace midlife as a transformative period of personal growth, self-discovery, and connection. With a focus on belonging and community, our event encourages you to:
Discover Your True Calling: Embark on a new career, start a business, or pursue your passions without hesitation. By connecting with like-minded women and exploring new horizons, you can create a sense of purpose and belonging that enriches your life and the lives of those around you.
Strengthen Relationships: Deepen family connections, begin a new relationship, or embrace your authentic self. Nurturing meaningful relationships helps you build a strong support network, creating a sense of community and belonging that is essential to personal growth and well-being.
Become a Changemaker: Make a lasting impact on your community, society, or the world. Use your unique skills, experiences, and passions to drive positive change and inspire others to do the same, creating a more inclusive and connected world for all.
Embracing midlife as a period of self-discovery and transformation allows you to overcome obstacles and create a more fulfilling and liberating life. Join us at Redefining Ageing to unlock your potential, build meaningful connections, and confidently step into the future, as we redefine what it means to age with purpose, passion, and a deep sense of belonging.
The 2024 Silver Sirens event's 'Never Too Late' theme inspired me to embrace new challenges. The speakers and connections made have empowered me on my journey.

Coming from a Macedonian working-class family whose parents emigrated to Australia in the 1970’s and raised in the shadow of the Port Kembla Steelworks, South of Sydney, AUSTRALIAN STORYTELLER AND FOLK SINGER, SNEZ subtly weaves these stories into her own songs. Stories about hardship, romance, work ethic, poverty of Macedonia and the aching transition into Aussie working-class life which have been passed down through generations.
In 2009, SNEZ released her debut album ‘Gypsy Soul’, and there began her journey as a travelling storyteller, with guitar in hand, SNEZ has spent the last 15 years roaming remote and regional Australia, playing country halls, house concerts, indigenous schools and even refugee camps and camp fires along the way; squeezing her world into a camper-van for months at a time.
Some festival highlights include playing the Blue Mountains Music Festival, Cygnet Folk Festival – TAS, National Folk Festival – ACT, Illawarra Folk Festival – NSW, Fleurieu Folk Festival – SA.
Off the back of the success of her critically acclaimed album ‘Fisher on the Sea’, released during the pandemic, with wide rotation on the ABC Radio and airtime on MTV, CMT and Rage, 2026 sees the new release of her 6th studio album with an Australian and NZ tour, followed by her debut tour of the UK, Ireland and Scotland, with fellow musician and producer Stewart Peters.

MEET THE FOUNDER OF SILVER SIRENS
Faith Agugu
Faith Agugu is an Australian leader in the global positive ageing movement, which seeks to champion women aged 50 plus, and re-define how they approach ageing. She has always had the instinct that she would get better with age and is hoping to inspire other women into the same mindset.
In 2018 Faith launched Silver Sirens, Redefining Ageing, creating an age-positive community to challenge the negative narrative that surrounds women and ageing, and their inaugural Redefining Ageing event was held the same year.
Iconic Australian women took the stage to speak about this potent and transformational period of our lives. Health, beauty, business, leadership and spirituality were all on the agenda.
As a trained psychotherapist with a Bachelor of Social Science, Faith has helped hundreds of women at her Sydney-based practice, The Healing Process, to experience their ‘third age’ as a renaissance of self and true rebirth.
Faith believes that women often internalise cultural messages that warp our ideas of age into something to ignore or even fear, blinding us to our own accomplishments, sexiness and worth.
Faith’s vision to be of service to a wider audience has garnered an audience that doubles year on year, and national media attention, such as feature articles on Silver Sirens in Mindfood Magazine, New Idea and The Guardian, She has also made several television appearances on SBS's Insight and Channel 9's Today Extra.

Our 2025 Charity Partner
Housing Matters Action Group (HMAG)

HMAG is a grassroots group of locals committed to advancing affordable, secure, accessible, and environmentally responsible housing across the Bellingen and Nambucca Shires—and throughout the North Coast of NSW. We believe everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.
With a membership base of over 450 and a core group of 30 active volunteers, HMAG brings together community members, housing professionals, and representatives from government and non-government sectors. Our volunteers are the heart of our work, driving projects and events that reflect the care and solidarity of our community.
Backed by a progressive philanthropic family foundation since 2022, HMAG has made significant strides—most notably in its work to establish a Community Land Trust (CLT) in the Bellingen Shire and supporting other community-led housing solutions.
One of the priority projects HMAG is most proud of is the Watson Place affordable housing development in Bellingen for women over 55 facing homelessness. HMAG played a pivotal role in working closely with the Royal Freemasons Benevolent Institution,
Bellingen Shire Council and Local MPs to bring this project to fruition. With a small team of paid staff and a big collective vision, we’re proud to be making a real impact.
All funds raised at the event will be donated to Housing Matters Action Group (HMAG).
